Hi, I’M Teyonna Bowman
I am a two-time breast cancer survivor, advocate, and founder of Pausitive Outlook, a platform dedicated to early detection and empowering women through the complexities of menopause—especially those navigating it after cancer treatment.
Diagnosed with hormone-sensitive breast cancer at 35, despite an active and healthy lifestyle, my world was turned upside down. After successfully completing surgery and treatment, I faced an unexpected recurrence less than five years later, leading to medically induced menopause. The severe symptoms I experienced—WAY beyond just hot flashes—revealed a critical gap in the conversation, particularly for young survivors.
Determined to change that, I launched Pausitive Outlook to share my journey, connect, and support women in this unspoken transition. In 2024, I expanded the platform with The Second Bloom, a live event series fostering community, self-advocacy, and access to menopause-focused experts and products. I also launched Menopause Unwrapped, a social media series that blends education with humor to highlight the unique challenges young survivors face post-treatment.
Beyond this platform, I am a dedicated volunteer with the Know Your Lemons Foundation and an advocate with the American Cancer Society’s Cancer Action Network, working to ensure no woman navigates these challenges alone.
