Being immediately thrust into complete menopause due to cancer, my body has gone through what takes many women up to a decade to complete in a matter of months. Through a personal quest to find solutions and figure out if there was anything to be positive about, I quickly learned that symptoms I would have NEVER classified as perimenopause (because I was WAY too young :)), actually were..

Some women are beginning the transition in their late-30’s but not talking in ways that could empower us to make better choices about our minds and bodies.

We need to stop this and start talking about perimenopause like we do puberty and pregnancy. This is for the long haul—after all women are living 1/3 to 1/2 of their lives post menopausal. It is a new state of being. Clearly, I’m now all things menopausal so my point of view and general attitude to life is going to reflect that—both the good and the not so great. Pausitive Outlook is the name that seems to best capture this full journey and I hope you join me on the ride.

As a person who typically shows up late to everything, I’m trying to find the humor in being early to the menopause party! sometimes the funnest parties are unplanned but the best ones are experienced with a community of support to manage through unexpected ups and downs.
